Luminaria Arts Come To Light

Luminaria is San Antonio’s annual celebration of art and artists. Overseen by San Antonio’s creative leaders, it is free of charge and showcases all art forms in an outdoor setting and inside various venues downtown. November 9 7 PM-12 AM @ Hemisfair Park


Zoo Lights

Houston Zoo will transform the Zoo with more than 300,000 LED lights illuminating more than 50 animal-themed light displays, 15 miles of tree-lighting, and seasonal songs and stories. Sip hot chocolate as you stroll through the Zoo and take in all the awe-inspiring sights, including whimsical colorful projections over 15 feet tall, life-size lighted animal sculptures and “Holly Berry,” a 1958 Cadillac featuring vibrant lights choreographed to joyful music. Houston Via Colori Street Painting Festival

Texas Renaissance Festival

22nd Annual Veterans Parade

The 22nd Annual Veterans Parade & Celebration On Saturday the parade starts at 9 a.m. at Thompson Rd and Socorro Rd and heads east on Socorro Road to Main Street in San Elizario, ending at Veterans Memorial Plaza in front of the San Elizario Church. The Ceremony will continue there, with Veteran presentations at 10:30 a.m. Special Guests and the 2017 Grand Marshall will be introduced, followed by the lighting of the Candles and the POW-MIA table ceremony. Five Veterans will be honored for their military service.

Out of the Darkness Dallas Community Walk

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention will present the Out of the Darkness Community Walk. Proceeds benefit local and national suicide prevention and awareness programs of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Admission is free. Donations are appreciated.

2018 State Fair of Texas

The 24-day, four-weekend extravaganza that is the State Fair of Texas is back. The great thing about the fair is its predictable greatness, from the butter sculptures to the pig races to the oodles of fried food. Free weekend concerts will include Morris Day & The Time, Aaron Watson, Ludacris, Casting Crowns, and more.
